For International School Students

The Advantage for International School Students

Students can enter grade 10 directly if they have completed grade 9 of an iGCSE international school, or study a reduced number of iGCSEs.

As the iGCSE course is usually 2 years long, we ask that most students should repeat grade 9 when enrolling in order to have the required number of hours of study to successfully complete the course.

The Edexcel iGCSE and A-level subjects are accepted by international universities worldwide. They are the largest exam board in the United Kingdom.

They are a great alternative to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, which requires 6 subjects plus Theory of Knowledge, Creativity, Action and Service, and the extended essay. The IB Diploma is one of the most demanding university entrance exams in the world and is best suited to highly academic and able students who can dedicate 2 years of full-time study to completing it. The A-Level system allows students to focus on 3 subjects that they prefer and are good at with the exact same outcome of entrance into international universities. In fact, Swiss universities prefer the A-level qualifications to the IB Diploma.
